This award was introduced in 2005 by the CCB to recognise
the contribution that people have made to country cricket.
The criteria for the award states that the person must
have had an impact on a Regional or a Statewide basis,
and that they have helped grow the game and to make cricket
a stronger part of the fabric of rural communities. These
awards will recognise outstanding service in the capacity
of player, coach or administrator.
All Country Associations have the opportunity to nominate
people they consider worthy for the award.
Nomination Process
- The nomination must be made and signed by a third
party.
- All nominations must be made on the ‘CCB Awards
Nomination Form’.
- The nomination form will be forwarded to the secretary
of all Country Cricket Associations and Regional Boards
at the commencement of each season, posted on the WACA
website and via a general media release to country
media outlets.
- The closing date for nominations will be the 30th
of November each year.
- The CCB will consider each nomination at its meeting
in December/January.
- Unsuccessful nominations can be resubmitted in subsequent
years but a new nomination must be made each year.
- Current serving members of the CCB are ineligible
for qualification
