Retravision Warriors & Western Fury Shields
Introduction
The Retravision Warriors and Western Fury Shields have been designed to provide greater opportunities for young people to become involved in the game of cricket.

What is the Warrior / Fury Shield?
The Warrior and Fury Shield is an interschool Super 8’s cricket competition, which involves a one day carnival in a non-threatening environment for all participants and teachers to be involved in a fun and enjoyable day. The carnivals are for any students both boys and girls in classes 5,6, and 7.

Super 8's Cricket
Super 8‘s cricket is an 8 a side game, which is full of action and requires all players to bat, bowl and field for equal time. The game consists of one innings of 8 overs per side, which encourages attacking cricket from batters, bowlers and fielders. See rules sheet for further information.

How does our school get involved?
Ideally look to form a division with your existing Physical Education network. Discuss the competition at your next network meeting. Your Cricket Officer is also available to attend the meeting to provide assistance.

Teacher Involvement
Each division requires a teacher to coordinate the Carnival. This person is responsible for communicating with the other schools in regards to timing of the carnival, team nominations and fixturing. Teachers in charge of teams at each school are responsible for ensuring their teams are organised, aware of the game rules and how to score. It is essential that players are involved in practice games prior to the carnival.
