Tom Moody
State Coach/Warriors Manager
Born: 2 October 1965
One of the most sought-after coaches
in world cricket following his success with Sri
Lanka, he returned to Perth in May 2007 to take
on the role of Retravision Warriors Manager and
Head Coach. In his first season at the helm he
took the Warriors to the final of the KFC Big
Bash and third place in the interstate four day
competition, while blooding several youngsters
in the team’s Ford Ranger Cup campaign.
Following his retirement from WA cricket in 2001,
he served as Director of Cricket at Worcestershire
for four years before a two-year stint as Head
Coach of Sri Lanka, whom he guided to the ICC
World Cup final in 2007. He will be aiming for
similar success with the Warriors in the near
future. |

Trevor
Penney
Assistant Coach
Born: 12 June 1968
Joined the Retravision Warriors
alongside Tom Moody in 2007 after the pair
worked together for two years in Sri Lanka.
Has a role in all levels of WA cricket, from
assisting the Warriors to guiding the Second
XI in the Cricket Australia Cup. Regarded as
a stalwart at Warwickshire, where he spent
17 years and was an integral member of a side
that played in seven one-day finals and won
two first class championships. Known for being
one of the best fielders in world cricket during
his playing days, he also undertook various
coaching roles with the England Cricket Board
and was appointed Head Coach of Sri Lanka before
choosing to walk away from that post and move
his family to Perth. |

Mathew
Inness
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Born: 13 January 1978
Newest addition to the Retravision
Warriors coaching staff after retiring from
interstate cricket at the end of the 2007-08
season. Ended his career on a high by leading
the Warriors' wicket-takers in the interstate
four day competition last summer with 40 at
the superb average of 20.13. Prior to his arrival
in Perth in 2005, he played 69 first-class
and 21 one-day matches for the Bushrangers
after making his debut in 1997-98, and enjoyed
great success in the longer form of the game,
taking 213 wickets with a best of 7-19. He
has completed a degree in Human Movement at
Victoria University and a Masters in Exercise
Science at Edith Cowan University, as well
as running a personal training business. |
