Retravision Warriors Coaching Staff

Lachlan Stevens
Head Coach
Born: 31 December 1978

Stevens was appointed Head Coach of the Retravision Warriors and Perth Scorchers in November 2011 after Mickey Arthur's move to the Australian cricket team.

The former Queensland and South Australian batsman was midway through his second season as Arthur's right hand man after previously serving two years as senior assistant to XXXX GOLD Queensland Bulls Head Coach Trevor Barsby, helping to oversee a period of success which saw the Bulls win the interstate one-day trophy in 2008-09 and finish runner-up in the Sheffield Shield in 08-09 and 09-10.

Stevens represented Australia at Under 19 level and also led the Queensland Colts and Youth teams. He worked as a Cricket Development Officer with the SACA and spent the 2003 off-season in Ireland as Head Coach and Development Officer at Merrion Cricket Club, returning to his home state later that year to take up the role of Cricket Coordinator with the University of Queensland.

A Cricket Australia Level Three accredited coach, Stevens took up the position of High Performance Coordinator at the Centre of Excellence in Brisbane in late 2004, and he has also worked for the Queensland Rugby Union as Career and Education Manager.

Adam Griffith
Assistant Coach
Born: 11 February 1978

Griffith, a tall right arm paceman, was a member of the PKF Tasmanian Tigers squad for nine years before retiring from interstate cricket at the conclusion of the 2010-11 season and taking on a full-time role at the WACA as Bowling Coach and Head Coach of the WA Under 19 male team.

The move of Mickey Arthur to the Australian Head Coach role and Lachlan Stevens' elevation to succeed Arthur with the Retravision Warriors and Perth Scorchers opened the door for Griffith to slot in to the Assistant Coach position.

He played 45 Sheffield Shield and Pura Cup matches for the Tigers and is their fifth highest wicket-taker in the history of the Australian interstate first class competition with 158 at an average of 32.77 and a best of 7-54 against Victoria in 2004-05 at Bellerive Oval.

Griffith is also Tasmania's fifth highest wicket-taker in the national one-day competition with 56 scalps, and played 12 Twenty20 matches whilst lining up for Leicestershire in the 2006 English county season.

Griffith has completed a Bachelor of Human Movement from the University of Tasmania, and is currently undertaking a Masters in Sports Coaching at the University of Queensland.

Prior to his arrival in Perth in 2005, Inness played 69 first-class and 21 one-day matches for the Victorian Bushrangers after making his debut in 1997-98, and enjoyed great success in the longer form of the game, taking 213 wickets with a best of 7-19.
