Retravision Warriors Coaching Staff

Tom Moody
Coach
Born: 2 October 1965

One of the most sought-after coaches in world cricket following his success with Sri Lanka, Moody returned to Perth in May 2007 to take on the role of Retravision Warriors Manager and Head Coach and enters his third season at the helm in 2009-10.

Moody played 145 first-class matches for Western Australia, scoring 9520 runs (avg. 42.31) and taking 232 wickets (avg. 28.40), as well as 73 one-day games, chalking up 1970 runs (avg. 33.96) and snaring 70 wickets (avg. 30.41). He played in five Sheffield Shield-winning teams and four domestic one-day championships. Moody also notched up eight Test appearances and 76 one-day internationals for Australia, including two World Cup wins in 1987 and 1999.

Following his retirement from WA cricket in 2001, Moody spent four years as Director of Cricket at Worcestershire. In 2003 they won Division Two of the County Championship to earn promotion to the top flight for the first time. He also led Worcs to successive domestic limited-overs finals at Lord’s.

In mid-2005, Moody was appointed Head Coach of Sri Lanka and presided over a fruitful two-year period that included an ICC World Cup final appearance in 2007 and overseas Test victories against England and New Zealand.

He will be aiming for similar success with the Retravision Warriors in the near future.
