WA Secondary Schools Super 8's Competition

The WA Secondary Schools Girls Super 8’s Competitions are a great chance for girls, who do not necessarily play cricket, to get involved in an interschool carnival of cricket. Super 8’s is a modified cricket game that promotes participation and enjoyment. Teams of 8 play each other, with all girls having a bat & bowl in each game.

Schools can enter girls into 2 divisions – Years 8 & 9 or Years 10. Once entered schools are split into either the North of the River Zone or the South of the River Zone. The winners from each zone then play each other in the Grand Final.

The Years 10+ competition, the "Peta Verco Shield”, is named to honour one of Western Australia’s and Australia’s great representatives.
