Cricket is a game
that girls play too and all are welcome! There
is a format that suits everyone’s age,
skill and time commitments, and provides a
great social atmosphere.

How do you get involved?
PLAY
- Club cricket is played from October to
March every year, seniors play on Sundays
and juniors on Saturday mornings.
- Junior
Club Programs; Each club runs an annual junior
girls program providing coaching and games
midweek.
- in2CRICKET; for girls & boys
aged 5-9 years old. Kids get introduced to
the skills of cricket in a fun, safe environment.
- 6ixers
is our social cricket league played on Monday
nights, under lights, starting November 16th.
- School
Super 8’s; form a team at
your Primary School or Secondary School and
play in a carnival day against other schools
in your area.
- Indoor Cricket; competitions
run all year round at your local indoor sports
centre, the major competition plays from
April to September each year.
CLINICS
- Fun to Fury Clinic; held on Sunday the
22nd November, 2009 the F2F clinic is a great
morning of cricket where coaches and Fury
players take young girls through all sorts
of fun cricket activities, before playing
games of Cricket. (For years 3 -7)
- Beach Cricket;
held on Sunday the 28th March, 2010 the WACA
Girls Beach day invites girls in year 3 -10
to a morning of cricket on the beach run
by the Fury team. There is lots of classic
catches and long hits followed by a BBQ and
prize draw.
VOLUNTEER
- Become an umpire or scorer at your local
club and if you’re keen go onto umpire
and score on the best grounds in Australia
in the WNCL.
WATCH
- Check out the club cricket action on weekends,
or GET YOUR FURY ON and support the Western
Fury.

If yes, then we’d like you to join in
as we all get together to celebrate 80 years
of WA Women’s cricket. The WACA is organising
an event called 80not Out to celebrate in March
2010.
