WA Under 17 Female Team

The WA U17 team won 3 matches and were competitive at stages during their 4 defeats at the 2009 Cricket Australia Under17 Championships held in Canberra.

The close defeats should provide motivation as the Under 17 squad train from August 2009 in preparation to improve their cricket to the point that we can beat the likes of NSW, QLD and Vic and hold aloft the “Betty Butcher” Shield in January 2010.

The 2008-09 WA U17 Player of the year was especially tight:

  • In third place with 220 points, Emily Dunn
  • In second place on 383 points, Chloe Piparo
  • In first place on 390 points, Congratulations -  EMMA KING
