The strategy will provide an integrated, strategic approach to the future provision of and investment in cricket facilities in WA for the next 10 years.
The strategy comes off the back of a recent cricket facilities audit undertaken across more than 500 cricket venues and 650 fields across the state. The 12-month auditing process, created a strong bank of data to guide plans for future infrastructure needs state-wide.
InsideEDGE Sport and Leisure Planning consultants have been appointed to analyse and map relevant audit data and assist in the strategy development, which is due to be completed by late 2018.
The WACA will work closely with its key stakeholders and affiliate bodies to develop the strategy, with a structured engagement process currently underway.
