The premiership fancies in Subiaco Marist and Midland-Guildford both notched up wins in round 11 of the SunSmart women's competition.
Bhavi Devchand ripped the hearts out of the South Perth batters, finishing with the magnificent figures of 6-21 in her 10 overs to lead Subiaco Marist to a comfortable win.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, South Perth notched up 101 before they were dismissed in the 33rd over. In reply, Nicole Bolton (31 not out) and Western Fury batter Cherie Bambury (29) ensured the home side reached the total in the 25th over.
Midland-Guildford continued their run of recent good by defeating Rockingham-Mandurah at Lilac Hill. The home side restricted the visitors to 139 before turning it on with the willow to reach the total with five wickets in hand.
In the B Grade, Melville (150) made short work of Whitfords (8-107), while Midland-Guildford (107) kept their goal of doing the double on track with a good win over South Perth (90).
