COME & MEET AUSTRALIAN SUPERSTAR MITCHELL JOHNSON

Girls & Boys aged 8-12 years old are invited to have a FREE go at the new and exciting T20 BLAST format which includes batting, bowling & fielding all within a jam packed 75 minutes! Why not come down and have a BLAST on one of the last days of the school holidays and experience the action of T20 along with music and giveaways. Aussie superstar Mitchell Johnson will be there to meet and help you with your cricket skills!

WHEN: THURSDAY JANUARY 31st
1pm- Arrival
1.30pm-3pm T20 modified matches

HOW TO REGISTER: There is a limit of 400 spots for the Super Session so to book a place complete the below registration form and email it back to in2cricket@waca.com.au. Registrations close Tuesday 29th January with a return email being sent to you confirming your child’s place, so book now to avoid disappointment!

MILO T20 Blast is a new and exciting format for girls and boys aged 8-12, which enables them to convert their basic cricket skills into exciting games of T20!

MILO T20 Blast is a fun, fast and dynamic non-traditional format with smaller ground dimensions, which ensures that participation is maximized and kids have fun!

MILO T20 Blast aims to:

·Introduce junior cricketers to competitive competition;

·Provide a fun, action packed and safe environment for kids to play the T20 format of the game;

·Continue to develop skills and techniques learnt from MILO in2CRICKET; and

·Maximize participation for all participants.

Key aspects of MILO T20 Blast are:

·Shorter games - MILO T20 Blast sessions run for a maximum of 60-75 minutes and include skill activities and a modified T20 game format;

·Eight kids per side, with all participants getting an equal opportunity at bowling, batting and fielding each week;

·No need for protective equipment, with a soft style cricket ball used; and

·No change of bowling ends to keep the game moving

The MILO in2CRICKET program offers children aged 5 to 10 years the opportunity to kick start their cricket career, learn lots of new skills like batting, bowling catching and throwing, as well as important social skills allowing them to make new friends and most importantly - HAVE FUN!

All participants receive a structured 6-12 week program which provides each participant with the opportunity to develop cricket skills, physical fitness, social skills, sportsmanship and an understanding of the game of cricket.
 
Warriors and Perth Scorchers Captain Marcus North is encouraging all boys and girls get involved in the program.
 
"It’s important for young girls and boys to be fit and active and there’s no better way to do that than by playing a great game and meeting lots of new people. MILO in2CRICKET teaches all the skills but most importantly it all happens in a fun and friendly environment,” North said.

All participants receive:
  • A structured 6-12 week program which provides participants with the opportunity to develop cricket skills, physical fitness, social skills and sportsmanship.
  • The opportunity to be selected for:
    • MILO in2CRICKET training sessions with the Australian teams.
    • MILO in2CRICKET On Ground Entertainment at international and domestic matches.
    • Anthem Ceremonies at international matches.
  • An exciting giveaway pack exclusive to the program which includes a backpack, cricket bat, cricket ball, t-shirt, hat, activity book, a Certificate of Participation and more!
