Tye proved a revelation at the 2013-14 RYOBI One-Day Cup in Sydney, finishing as the tournament’s second top wicket-taker and has come on in leaps and bounds ever since. The Scarborough fast bowler is a late bloomer at domestic level, making his WA debut as a 26-year-old. He also made his Shield debut for WA in the 2014-15 season, but it was in the short form where he has fully shone. Tye was a revelation for the Perth Scorchers in BBL|04, finishing with 14 wickets. He continued that strong form with the ball in BBL|05, earning an Australia call-up and making his international debut as a 29-year-old.
