The club from the Geraldton Cricket Association has become a community champion by creating a healthier, more family-friendly club environment where everyone in the local community feels welcome.

The Sharks unwavering dedication to continually improve their club for their community is what makes them such an outstanding Good Sports club, setting the benchmark for other clubs in their area to aspire to.

The club also received the WA Good Sports Club of the Year award.

WACA Community Cricket General Manager Jo Davies said the Muir Park Sharks are well-deserving winners of the national and state awards.

"It is a fantastic achievement by the Muir Park Sharks to be recognised nationally and state-wide in recognition of all the work they are doing to ensure their club is welcoming, healthy and family friendly," Ms Davies said.

"It is a true testament to the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to better the club and improve the playing experience for all its participants. Congratulations to all those involved."
