Stand-in skipper Chloe Piparo scored her maiden Women's National Cricket League century but the Alcohol.Think Again Western Fury's campaign has ended with a six-wicket defeat to the Tasmanian Roar.
The Roar chased down the Fury's strong total of 6-275 with one over to spare, led by opener Georgia Redmayne (116) and Irish middle-order batswoman Isobel Joyce (74no) who finished the job.
Earlier, Piparo was integral for WA after winning the toss and electing to bat, scoring 119 from 140 balls with 14 fours after opening the batting.
Piepa Cleary (35) and Emma Biss (29) provided the best support with the bat, but Tasmania replied strongly.
The Roar were in control at 0-102, before Biss (3-50) took three quick wickets, all bowled, to reduce them to 3-118.
Redmayne and Joyce, however, combined for a key 113-run fourth-wicket partnership, before the latter guided them home, with a boundary off the final ball of the penultimate over from Natasha Farrant.
The result means the Fury finishes the WNCL season bottom of the ladder and without a win.
The bulk of the squad will now switch their attention to the Women's Big Bash League with the Perth Scorchers which begins on Saturday 10 December.
