South Perth and Subiaco Floreat played out a thrilling match on the weekend at Richardson Park. In a game both teams were desperate to win, the match went down to a super over which still couldn't find a result. In the end Subiaco - Floreat took home the chocolates due to amount of boundaries scored. Subiaco-Floreat won the toss, Perth Scorcher Megan Banting (38 off 24) performed strongly at the top of the order in a knock including 6 fours alongside team-mate Melissa Blyth (20 off 24) who helped the side reach a defendable total of 100. South Perth's bowling attack was strong and performed well, fellow Perth Scorcher Katie Hartshorn was the standout with 4 overs 2 for 20. In response Melissa Cameron (23) performed well again at the top of the order and Katie Hartshorn again showed her all round talent as they tied the score in the final over. Subiaco - Floreat's bowlers we're in strong form as Millie Monghan had fine figures of 1 for 12 off 4 overs. The game then went into a thrilling super over in which both teams scored 8 runs and no result could be found as the game was still tied. As a result Subiaco-Floreat took out the points due to amount of boundaries scored.
Midland Guildford 1/97 def University 5/95
Midland-Guildford remain undefeated this season as they seek to get through the season without a loss. The Swan's took home the win against University who fought hard against the ladder leaders. Playing at Lilac Hill preceding the Perth Scorcher's vs Sydney Thunder WBBL fixture the girls would have been inspired to show their skills out on the wicket. University won the toss and elected to bat however started in the worst way possible - losing a wicket in the very first ball of the game. Debutant Sarah Bryce (49 off 49) performed well as she scored at a run a ball. Followed by Captain Cassie Stephens (22) lower in the order. Bhavi Devchand was exceptional with 2 wickets for 16 runs off her 4 overs. At the end of the innings University set Midland Guildford 95 to win. Midland-Guildford showed their strength in their batting innings as they cruised to the total in just 10 overs in a commanding fashion. Amy Jones (52 off 32) and Perth Scorcher Chloe Piparo (36 off 27) showed their talent once again to gain the points.
Rockingham-Mandurah 5/58 def by Melville 8/69
Melville snuck home for a crucial victory that leaves them 4 wins and 4 losses at this stage of the season. Coming up against Rockingham-Mandurah who had won the toss and elected to bat first, Eleanor Britton (27 off 32) was impressive as she top scored. For Melville, it was a strong bowling performance from all bowlers as they heavily restricted the run flow. at the end of the 20 overs Rockingham-Mandurah set 68 for victory. Defending 68, Rockingham-Mandurah's bowlers toiled hard in particular it was a strong performance from Jade Fawcett taking 4 for 14 off her 4 overs as they had Melville on the ropes. However 8 wickets down the Storm snuck home for a win in the final over.
