Young quick Liam Guthrie and allrounder Aaron Hardie join the squad, while Joel Paris is out with a hamstring injury.

Head coach Adam Voges said;

“Aaron is an exciting young talent who proved his worth at the back-end of last summer with his maiden Shield century.

“Both Liam and Aaron have worked really hard and it’s great to have them in the squad.”

Paris sustained a low-grade right hamstring injury during Round 1 and at this stage, is aiming to return for Round 3 or 4.

WA gear up for the second match of their Shield campaign off the back of a comprehensive 205-run victory over South Australia.
