Ashton Agar has been left out of the squad as part of plans made by the Western Australian Cricket Association and Cricket Australia to manage his load for the season ahead.

Agar returned to Perth this week following WA’s Round 3 Sheffield Shield match.

Leg spinner Liam O’Connor has been included in the squad to provide an extra spin option.

Players from both teams will form a Barefoot Circle before the match to acknowledge and pay respects to all the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The act also shows a commitment to reconciliation and working together toward a connected country.
