WA's Cooper Connolly, Hayden Stumpers, Teague Wyllie, Luke Holt, Blair Walsh and Nathan Bothma have been named in the squad.

Allrounder Connolly's selection comes as no surprise following his standout performance at the Under 17s Men's National Championships last month.

The Under 17s WA skipper was named Player of the Tournament, producing a total of 264 runs at an average of 66 and took 14 wickets at 13.71.

The Pathway Rookie Squad is made up of 52 cricketers aged between 15 to 17 years from across the country.

The program provides further development opportunities for some of Australia’s best young cricketers and assists with their progression within the Australian Cricket Pathway.

WACA High Performance Programs Manager Liz Chetkovich said;

“We have a strong generation of cricketers coming through, it is a testament to the work done over the last few years in our male pathways.

“The players will greatly benefit from the added support and benefits of this program. We are very excited for everyone selected and hope they make the most of this fantastic opportunity.”
