Top of the table WA head east to take on a star studded Victorian side, with both teams boasting plenty of international talent.

Rebel Women’s Big Bash League Player of the Tournament, Sophie Devine, returns to play alongside Western Australian stars Nicole Bolton and Heather Graham.

Skipper Chloe Piparo leads the side with two potential debutants in Sheldyn Cooper and Ash King.

Perth Scorchers captain Meg Lanning will lead the Victorians, who welcome fellow Australian superstar Ellyse Perry from New South Wales.

Assistant Coach Michael Dighton has stepped up to take the reins for the remainder of the season, after former Head Coach Lisa Keightley vacated her position to take on the England Women’s coaching role.

Dighton said his side are ready to build on their unbeaten start to the WNCL competition.

“We had a good hit out in our practice match last week following a short break after the Big Bash,” Dighton said.

“Taneale Peschel starred with the ball and Piparo and Bolton played really well at the top of the order.

“I’m really excited about this squad, our top four is arguably the best we’ve ever put out there.

“The Vics will be a strong challenge, they’ve got some good young players and plenty of fire power in their batting line up.

“We’re all looking forward to two really good games of cricket.”
