Victoria couldn't close the deal late on Monday when they had WA 8-161 at stumps, in search of 469 for victory.

After seeing out the extra half hour on day three, Josh Inglis and Matt Kelly continued to frustrate Victoria early on the final day.

Inglis smashed 87 in just 63 balls with 12 fours and a six and he received good support from Matt Kelly (41).

The Bushrangers didn't bowl Peter Siddle (2-39), Chris Tremain (3-61) and Scott Boland (3-44) who were all outstanding the previous afternoon.

That helped Inglis tee off on Glenn Maxwell and Cameron White.

But Dan Christian came on to pick up both Inglis and Kelly to give Victoria the thumping victory.

Centuries to Travis Dean (111) and Aaron Finch (151 no from 122 balls) in each innings set Victoria up for victory.

Chris Tremain was named man of the match for his 10-wicket haul, claiming 7-82 for Victoria in WA's first innings and 3-61 in the second.

With two rounds remaining, the victory brought the Bushrangers back into calculations for a final berth.

The Warriors will now have to beat Queensland and South Australia on the road to be any hope.
