The towering fast bowler finished 87 not out after WA were bowled out for 332 prior to lunch.

Green shared a 99-run eighth-wicket stand with seamer Jhye Richardson (39) to help his side reach a solid first innings total.

WA's bowlers toiled hard during the second and third session of the days play, but the hosts finished at 1-167 at the half way mark of the match.

Green was in the action again with the ball, trapping former test opener Joe Burns (76) LBW.

Bryce Street (55*) and Usman Khawaja (30*) remain the overnight not out batsmen.

Earlier, WA resumed their first innings on day two at 7-255.

The visitors put on 162 for their last three wickets.

The wagging tail and ex-Test batsman Shaun Marsh's fighting 77 helped them recover from 2-2 after losing the toss.

Day three will resume tomorrow morning from 8:00am AWST.
