The pair have been involved in the Western Australia Cricket Association Female Pathway for the last few years and are thankful for the opportunity to showcase their skills on the national stage.
“This opportunity means the world to me, it is a privilege as not many girls get this opportunity,” Britcliffe said
“We are both looking forward to getting to know the girls from other states and seeing where the two of us sit in terms of our abilities across the country.”
WACA Talent Development Manager Madonna Blyth said the talent team is excited to see how the girls go this weekend.
“The WACA are very proud to have Molly and Zoe representing us at the national level,” Blyth said
“It is a testament to not only their talent and work ethic but also the work that has been done at the grassroots level to develop and grow girl’s cricket over the past years in WA.”
Healy has been selected to represent the Lanning XI and Britcliffe will play for the Perry XI over three matches on the weekend.
“These matches will not only highlight the best emerging talent in the country but also provide Molly and Zoe the opportunity to put their hand up for Australian under 19 selection,” Blyth said.
“The more opportunities the younger players receive to perform at the elite level, the more prepared they will be for the challenges in the WBBL and international competitions.”
