D'Arcy Short

Northern Territory-born Short made his WA debut in 2011 at one-day level, but it wasn’t until 2016 that he became a regular feature in the State side. The left-handed all-rounder, who bowls spin, scored plenty of runs in First Grade cricket for Gosnells and Willetton. Short played twice for WA in the 2015-16 Toyota Futures League, before a big off-season where he shed several kilograms led to him breaking into the one-day side for the 2016-17 JLT One-Day Cup. A month later Short made his Sheffield Shield debut against Tasmania at the WACA Ground. Short made his maiden list A century in against the CAXI in WA’s winning JLT One-Day Cup campaign. He played the 2016-17 and 2017-18 Big Bash seasons with the Hobart Hurricanes. In BBL07 Short was named player of the tournament after his outstanding performances, which lead to an Australian debut in the T20 format.
